Rosendin, the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contracting company, celebrates Sydney Coleman, Business Development Specialist, as a graduate of the
Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA) Women in
Leadership Program. Coleman was honored at the 31st annual ABA luncheon held Dec. 12, 2024, at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn in Scottsdale.
The Women in Leadership Program, designed for women in mid-to-upper-level management roles, aims to enhance leadership effectiveness and advance career opportunities. The eight-month program focuses on developing advanced skills, competencies, and applications relevant to excelling in leadership capacities. It also promotes networking and the sharing of best practices among women colleagues in the industry.
“Sydney’s graduation from the ABA Women in Leadership Program reflects Rosendin’s commitment to fostering professional growth and leadership within our organization,” said Ben Mlinar, Operations Manager at Rosendin. “Her insights and enhanced skills will contribute significantly to our team’s success and the advancement of women in the construction industry.”
Coleman was one of 24 graduates in the ABA’s Women in Leadership program. The program highlighted the importance of a strong workplace culture in the construction industry, fostering collaboration and open communication among team members.
“The program has enhanced my understanding of the construction industry by providing unique insight into other fields and departments that make everything run,” said Sydney Coleman, Business Development Specialist at Rosendin. “I’ve gained practical skills necessary to thrive in this industry and valuable networking opportunities with talented women who can offer guidance in challenging situations.”
The ABA represents more than 380 member companies across Arizona, including Rosendin, offering education, networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy on behalf of the
commercial construction industry. Educational opportunities include programs, seminars, and apprenticeship opportunities.
“The ABA Women in Leadership Program plays a crucial role in developing the next generation of construction industry leaders,” said ABA President Kimberly Davids. “Graduates like Sydney exemplify the talent and potential within our industry, and we’re proud to support their growth and success.”
