Tarkett has announced its Johnsonite® 2025 Colors of the Year, bringing fresh inspiration to customers’ designs. This year’s palette is a celebration of nature’s living language, with six colors inspired by the brilliant hues found in flora, fauna and bioluminescent beings. The new colors are available on all Johnsonite products, including wall base, rubber tile, stairwell management solutions and finishing accessories.

“These six colors are a testament to how the natural world communicates, attracts and builds community,” explained Janette Murray, the Johnsonite color expert who developed the palette. “Each shade embodies the beauty and purpose of nature’s most remarkable designs, inviting us to speak boldly and live harmoniously in spaces that feel vibrant and alive.”

The 2025 Colors of the Year include:

  • Under the Sea: Evoking the calm depth of ocean waters, this energetic blue is dynamic yet serene, with a boldness that encourages meaningful connection.
  • Luminesce: Mirroring the vibrant hues of tropical seas, this bright turquoise symbolizes clarity and a sense of wonder.
  • Neon Nature: This neon yellow-green embodies the energy of lush foliage, the promise of growth and a reminder of nature’s resilience.
  • Kinetic: Both tender and bold, this bright pink-violet captures the expressive beauty of nature’s playful spirit with warmth and individuality.
  • Soft Optics is the heartbeat of the palette with a welcoming radiance. Like a sunlit horizon, this vibrant orange energizes spaces with optimism and creativity.
  • Mystical brings a quiet, grounding strength, echoing the mystery of night and the elegance of shadows. It anchors interiors with sophistication and depth, creating balance and focus.

The 2025 colors can be used on their own, in combination with each other or paired with the other 114 colors in Johnsonite’s standard color palette—the broadest range of colors in the industry. As leaders in color, the team stands behind its testament that Made Right Means Johnsonite™, bringing care and expertise to ensure customers’ colors are always right.

“Just as nature communicates through color, we at Johnsonite speak in color,” Murray said. “Color is crucial to the craft of design, and designers can trust us to speak their color language and always get it right.”

With a coordinating Color System and the ability to match any hue, Johnsonite strives to make designers’ lives easier. The full Color System includes Color Foundations—which offers six neutral palettes (Warm Beige, Cool Beige, Warm Gray, Cool Gray, Black and White) that tie across the complete Tarkett line for easy flooring coordination—and ColorMatch®, a go-to palette with no dye lots guaranteed to match across all Johnsonite products.
